Crissy is a multidisciplinary artist living in Vancouver, Canada. Working primarily in painted collage and paper sculpture, her colourful interwoven worlds and micro-landscapes offer an intimate escape from the chaotic world, while celebrating its beauty.

Inspiration is drawn from memories of growing up rural British Columbia, daily life in an urban environment, the pages of geoscience and astronomy publications, and the nature of the art materials themselves.

Paper is hand-painted with watermedia then cut and precisely assembled into dimensional paintings. Elements often rising above each other and their support offer a play of light and shadow, with colour, shape, and line collaborating to create stylized scenes and planetary views. Looking at and into these ordered yet playful scenes suggest the restorative power of the natural world, the wonder of the cosmos that surround it, and our place in both.

Crissy’s work has been exhibited in galleries in British Columbia, with works held in private collections in Canada and the UK. She is a member and leader of THRIVE Mastermind and a member the All Together Artist Collective.
